"I know who I am."
So says the most forgetful man in cinema, played by Matt Damon, in the new trailer for Jason Bourne that dropped last night alongside some thrilling new images.
Watch The Trailer:
We learn a valuable lesson in the forthcoming movie alongside Jason, as he's told in the 2 and a half-minute video by Nicky Parsons (played by Julia Stiles):
"Remembering everything doesn't mean you know everything."
The new trailer includes a car chase, hacking "worse" than Snowden (!!!), lashings of facial recognition, Molotov cocktail-lit demonstrations, car pile-ups, men firing big guns, and bare-fist brawls. The first Jason Bourne trailer broadcast at the Super Bowl in February this year.
This trailer reveals a plot building further on the idea of an omniscient surveillance state, drawing from US government leaks by the likes of Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.
Check Out The Awesome New Images:
Matt Damon is joined by Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones. Jason Bourne is the fifth action spy thriller in the Bourne series by Universal about a CIA assassin suffering from extreme memory loss. The fourth was The Bourne Legacy in 2012, but the new movie is set several years after his disappearance in third movie, The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).
It's appropriate to conclude with the trailer's ending wisdom from Jones as Robert Dewey:
"You're never gonna find any peace, not 'til you admit to yourself who you really are."
Watch Another 30-Second Teaser Released In February:
