The Hollywood Reporter released news that Robert Downey Jr. will be teaming up with the titular web-slinger in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Homecoming will mark the first film produced as a partnership between Sony and Marvel Studios. Does RDJ's inclusion mean that Marvel is hoping to continue to link their universes in order to produce more films in the future? That's looking very likely; It doesn't seem as if this is going to be a one-time thing.

In Captain America: Civil War, Tony Stark comes off as a mentor for Spider-Man, so perhaps this film will delve more into the relationship between the two. The film also includes actors Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya and Tony Revolori.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters July 7, 2017. I can't wait to see what kind of tangled webs Holland and Downey Jr. get caught in!
