The Blacklist has had quite the season this year, especially with last week's (maybe?) death of Megan Boone's Elizabeth Keen. And while Red and the team sort all that business out, all the attention is now focused on Tom, portrayed by Ryan Eggold, and the potential spin-off series that will be fronted (if NBC does decide to move forward with the series, which I pray they do) by X-Men veteran, Famke Janssen.

TV Guide first obtained the following images which showcase Eggold and Janssen in the upcoming May 5th episode where Janssen will make her not-so-long awaited debut. Take a look below!

Janssen will portray a character called Susan "Scottie" Halstead/Susan Hargrave. Rumors suggest she will be portraying the mother of Eggold's character in the episode titled "Susan Hargrave". Based on the photos, I'd say the two of them have a history together that doesn't shine a kind light on their current relationship. All we know as of right now is that they'll have a similar working relationship to that of Red and Elizabeth.

While we'll still have to wait and see if NBC does order the spin-off to series, we can at least look forward to the May 5th episode and the following one which will serve as a backdoor pilot for the potential show.

Based on what we've just been shown, the network and the show's creators are working hard on what I'm sure will finally be a worthy use of Janssen's extraordinary talent that was so wasted in Netflix's unfortunate and forgettable series, Hemlock Grove.

What do you think? Should NBC spin-off 'The Blacklist'? Let us know in the comments section below!
