If the combination of the words "erotic," "lesbian," "vampire" and "horror" sound like the perfect movie recipe to you, then you'll be delighted to hear that a remake of the racy 1974 horror Vampyres is heading to the big screen.

The reboot has been ready to go for two years, but had trouble securing a distributor. Now showing at Cannes, it has found buyers for a number of countries. Unfortunately, the US is not on that list.

The Vampyres Lure Their Victims With The Promise Of Sex

Directed by Victor Matellano, who based it on José Ramón Larraz's '70s version, Vampyres tells the tail of a young couple who stumble upon a vampires' lair. The bloodsuckers are two girls roaming the forest, seducing their victims before feasting on their blood in erotic orgies. It's gory, chilling and sexy.

Produced by Ángel Mora for Artistic Films, the movie stars Marta Flich (Omnivores), Almudena León (Wax), Christian Stamm and Verónica Polo. So far, it has found buyers for Japan, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Taiwan, Scandinavia, Germany and Austria.
