It has just been confirmed as of late that Michael Keaton will in fact not be in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Deadline.com claims that the actor was in talks with Marvel and Sony, but the deal did not work out.

That said, Robert Downey Jr. has been confirmed for the film to return as Iron Man. This will be sure to bring more anticipation to the movie itself. So in short, Marvel gets away with a win loss situation.

So the real question still remains, who will portray the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming? The rumored villains that Keaton was supposed to play were Vulture (who is a confirmed villain) or potentially Norman Osborn. Now that he isn't in the film, fans are going to question who will they cast next. Will Marvel find someone better than Keaton for the vulture? Although, John Malkovich was the in line to play the Vulture back in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 before it was abruptly cancelled.

That's all I have for right now. Let me know what you guys think in the comments down below.
