The 23-year-old singer has always been open about her struggles with body image, eating disorders and addiction. That's what makes her recent bikini-clad selfies all the more empowering.

Lovato posted the pics to her Snapchat account on Friday, April 22. In one picture, the sun-kissed celebrity pinches her belly and smiles, while the caption reads:

My body isn't perfect, I'm not my fittest but this is me!! And I [love] it.

She also added this one of her lower half, with the simple caption: Curves.

While Lovato might be a body-positive champion for many of her fans, she herself credits other celebs with helping her love the skin she's in. Here's what she said in an interview with UK Complex:

"For so long, it was the heroin-chic ’90s supermodel thing, and I feel like, when the Kardashians came into the picture, people started to look at it because it was different. They were like, “You know what? That’s actually really beautiful.” From then, I noticed that Beyoncé was thicker, and Nicki Minaj is thicker. When I say thick—like when I call my thighs thick—I love it. I think it’s a good thing. Watching them really helped me learn to accept my body image, too."

The "Heart Attack" singer continues to send positive vibes from her Turks and Caicos vacation via Instagram. Just yesterday she posted this picture of a coconut drink on the beach with a piece of solid advice attached:

Who's your body positivity champion?
