When you get tired of the dark, intense, depressing and often bland environments and narratives that adult video games churn out every year, it can be nice to simply turn everything off and enjoy something more suitable for you inner-child. Whether it be the adorable RPG adventures from Japan, some great movie tie-ins or adventures through space, the gaming industry has you covered.

Here are 3 games that will certainly speak to the child within you, all of which will be getting a release date for consoles and PCs within the next few months. Are you excited to check them out?

LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens

What better way to revisit the nostalgic glory of [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158) then with a LEGO version of John Boyega and Daisey Ridley? None that I can think of (though I guess watching the film again is sufficient for some).

LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens promises to actually bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. We'll get a deeper insight into the film's lore and what exactly happened once the Emperor fell. Aside from that there will be tons of puzzles, LEGO gags, the actual voice work from the movies and a ton of replayability. Sounds perfect. The game will arrive on XBOX One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PC and Playstation Vita on June 28.

I Am Setsuna

A fan of beautiful Japanese role-playing games? Then we have an absolute beauty here for you! The English version of the game will only arrive on PS4 and PC. Here's a brief summary of what this beauty will offer:

The story, set in a land gripped by perpetual winter, follows an unnamed mercenary and his charge, a maiden named Setsuna who must offer herself as a sacrifice at a sacred shrine to appease hostile demons. The story's central theme is sadness. The gameplay, which is deliberately designed to evoke role-playing games of the 1990s, uses an Active Time Battle system based on those used in early Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger.

Yep, that is a perfect video game right there! I Am Setsuna is set to release on July 19.

No Man's Sky

The game that everyone is talking about. [No Man's Sky](tag:2684052) plans to simulate the universe and will come with over 18 quintillion planets on its release date. Apparently 99.1% of all the planets in the game may never be discovered. But this will be the perfect game for you inner-child.

Hop into your procedurally generated ship, fly through the universe, land on any planet you like, discover new alien lifeforms, trade, engage in dogfights and simply chill out in the vast expanses of space. What a perfect break from the intensity of modern AAA games. This fascinating game will arrive on PS4 on June 21st.

Which of these will you play?
