It's 04/26, today is the day for us to take a visual trip back to the xenos infested pit that is LV-426.
Artist's from around the world have come together to create a whole host of superbly detailed pieces celebrating Ridley Scott's 1979 horror masterpiece.
We've seen it all; from crazy-ass motor bike designs, to some unbelievable looking "office chairs"; the now extensive list of Alien movies has already spurred on inspiration for so many different peoples creations. And it's H.R Giger's incredibly memorable designs of the Xenomorphs we have to thank for that.
A quality collection of posterized works have been gathered for you to check out below. Not only that but as mentioned director, Neil Blomkamp (who's been working on Alien 5) has added to the buzz and revealed a new grown-up character portrait of Newt from Aliens. Confirming she'll be making a return in the upcoming movie.
First up is a series of prints on offer from NY's Bottleneck Gallery. They were commissioned for a screening of Alien that they're holding tonight, which is sold out. Included is a stylish piece by Chris Skinner and a magnificent neon coloured variant print from Godmachine.
Next is the selection of limited edition screen prints available over on Mondo.
And last but not least, a trio of deadly independent artists works. Starting with a vector creation from the ever excellent, Orlando Arocena. Followed by a killer design from T-Rex Jones. And one just uploaded by Warner Bros. Animation's Art Director, the amazing, Dan Hipp.
