THE HORDE, written by (and staring) Paul Logan, directed by Jared Cohn and starring Matthew Willig, Bill Moseley, Vernon Wells, Tiffany Brouwer and so many more fantastic actors, is a great adventure horror you have to give a watch.

A high level independent action movie, meets a horror splatter-house! The Horde gives you a great mix of the best from different horror films, blended into the classic escapade of teenagers falling into the hands of relentless killers.

Right from the trailer, to the opening credits, I was hooked!

Jared Cohen (Little Dead Rotting Hood) has done another fabulous job in the horror genera. Highlighting his ability to draw the audience into the intense horrors found in the night, only now with loads of high octane action. Once the blood begins to flow The Horde lay waste to their unsuspecting victims. No pity for the weak as these psycho killers have their fun in their own twisted ways. Lots of thought was put into these gruesomely awesome death scenes.

What I liked the most was after we get past the set-up in the school with cheesy students. The students are not the main characters you root for in this film actually, It's the killers with their distinctive personalities that gets you really going. What felt to me as a good mix of characters from films like Commando, The Hills Have Eyes, House of 1000 Corpses, Rambo and even "Negan" from The Walking Dead TV show. A few others come to mind as the film goes along.

Then we have our Hero John Crenshaw (played by Paul Logan) who take center stage as his students get killed off and mutilated one by one. With the final straw coming when this evil horde kidnaps his very sexy girlfriend Selina (played by the beautiful Tiffany Brouwer). A Marine on a mission, these mutant rejects and their leaders have just F***ed with the wrong teacher!

The blood flow is fantastic for this kind of independent horror film, with lots of fantastic death scenes. T&A is not overtly done but, we do have our very beautiful actresses and lots of hunks for the woman to enjoy the eye candy as well. There is one very brutal rape scene, that could down in horror history! depending if you like practical effects from the 'Breeder,' as it gave me a feeling of a Krampus type villain. Also an awesome cameo from Don "The Dragon" Wilson who I've not seen on screen for quite some time!

Official Synopsis:

John Crenshaw has given up his life as leader of his Navy SEAL team to settle down and marry his girlfriend Selina. He accompanies Selina and her students on a weekend nature-photography expedition deep into the Oregon woods. What starts out as an educational and fun-filled weekend turns into horror as the group is besieged by an unspeakable evil - a horde of hideously disfigured, mutated humans with an insatiable taste for blood. The horde savagely attacks the camp. John fights off some and is left for dead as the creatures led by the sadistic Atkinson take Selina and the group back to their camp. Battered and enraged Crenshaw must once again embrace the life he left behind to track down and kill the horde. He uses all of his special forces training to try to save the group. With unrelenting danger around every corner he must deal with the savage mutants and human deceit. As things go from bad to worse, Crenshaw becomes their only hope if they are going to get out alive.
