MINOR SPOILERS FOR CIVIL WAR

Have you seen the new Captain America: Civil War ad today? Spider-Man stopped Bucky's arm and cracked a joke in spectacular fashion. I swear, I have a nerdgasm every time I think about Spidey in the upcoming Civil War! I was so happy after reading this statement about our favorite web-slinger, Peter Parker, from the Russos, about why Iron Man wants Peter in Civil War:

“Look, there’s a certain narcissism to the character and Tony doesn’t want to lose this fight, and at the same time I think he also sees Spider-Man as the greatest living non-lethal weapon. If you’re going out to capture a bunch of people who you don’t necessarily want to hurt, you couldn’t ask for a better character than Spider-Man to take with you.

“He does show up and illustrate that Spider-Man, he knows how powerful he is. In a video we see Spider-Man stopping a car moving 40 miles an hour, where he catches it and puts it back on the ground, so I think he believes that he’s taking with him perhaps one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe, and I think he feels like the kid will be well-protected under his tutelage. You also find out in that sequence, when things go wrong the kid says, ‘What do I do?’ and Tony says, ‘Keep your distance, web ’em up.’ So he’s obviously mentored the kid for what’s about to go down.”

I know we've all heard that Downey will star in Homecoming and we're all stoked -- and that pisses me off at the same time. Why couldn't they waited until the movie came out and then told us the amazing news. That just guaranteed that RDJ will make it through this movie pretty much unscathed. This really peeves me off, but I still can't wait to see the movie. Check out what RDJ had to say about Iron Man 4:

WHAT DC SHOULD TAKE FROM MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN?

I'm not a person who likes to get into those debates about Marvel or DC? My two favorite characters: Spider-Man and Batman are on different teams (companies). But something's been bugging me about the upcoming roster for the DCEU. Do they have anyone like Spider-Man? I know you're going to say, The Flash, but he's already a CSI and kinda past adolescence. This is something that's been frequently on my mind and I'm curious what other you'd think on the subject? Let me explain:

WHO COULD BE SPIDER-MAN-ESQUE IN THE DCEU?

I was watching Arrow tonight and I thought, 'He's a freakin' superhero, why isn't he having any fun, like, ever?' Tonight's episode was super-serious and there wasn't any room for shenanigans. It's impossible not to compare Arrow to the lighter, funnier Flash. The Flash seems to enjoy being a hero and he's not bogged down by everything else. I know that The CW is trying to have Ollie be like Bruce and Barry be like Clark; but Oliver Queen is a smart-ass in the comics. Tonight was a good episode, but I don't think I'm the only one who wants a change on Arrow.

Then, I thought about the last two DC movies and how they compared to Marvel. Not every hero is supposed to be like Deadpool nor should they all be like Batman either. Suicide Squad should be huge -- they have two of DC's biggest villains - The Joker and Harley Quinn - going against a corrupt system and the amazing Batman.

What comes after this movie? I've been reading up on my Wonder Woman and I'm a tad worried about her solo movie if it's not done extremely well. Where's that hero that'll make the audience fall head-over-heels with? DC has had all their characters from the very start, they didn't need to make a deal with Sony to get back the biggest money-maker of all time. We'll see after the success of Civil War, how profitable a young star can be!
