On Thursday, Ryan Reynolds posted a heartfelt tribute to 13-year-old Deadpool fan Connor McGrath who passed away earlier this week after his three year battle with cancer. The two met back in February through the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Edmonton, Canada where Reynolds was able to surprise the young fan with an early unfinished cut of Deadpool.

Reynolds defended his decision to allow a 13-year-old to view the R-rated film joking that the young man "knew more swear words than a British chef." Furthermore, he compared Connor to a real-life Deadpool or the epitome of what "Deadpool aspires to be; balancing pain, fearlessness, love and a filthy sense of humor."
