It's been more than a month since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit theatres. While the movie received mixed reviews, the performances put by the actors were widely criticized. But one of the actors stood out among the rest. Jeremy Irons was absolutely phenomenal in his potrayal of Alfred Pennyworth. And the chemistry between Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne and and Jeremy Irons' Alfred was also fun to watch.
Although it's quite obvious that Jeremy Irons would be a part of the solo Batman movie that's going to be directed by Ben Affleck, it was unclear whether he would be a part of Justice League: Part One.
Justice League: Part One has already started filming in London. And apart from the six actors, who'll be forming the Justice League (Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg), the only actors that had been cast so far for the movie are Amy Adams (Lois Lane), J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Willem Dafoe (Mysterious Role).
But it seems like Jeremy Irons will be reprising his role as Alfred Pennyworth as well. According to Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411, Irons himself broke the news that he would appear in Justice League after Friedman congratulated him on his performance in The Man Who Knew Infinity. Although it's quite hard to imagine not to have Alfred even have a cameo in an entire movie, that has Batman in it (unless he's dead), this pretty much confirms that Jeremy Irons will indeed be joining the rest of the cast soon.
