There are only four days left until Disney and Marvel kick off the summer box office with Captain America: Civil War — but who's counting?
Just kidding. We all are, seeing as we've been waiting in anticipation for what feels like forever!
Captain America: Civil War is expected to pull in $175 million (plus!) in its domestic opening at the North American box office. Some even speculate that the film could hit the $200 million mark.
Civil War is the third standalone Captain America film in the series, as well as the 13th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film brings back Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and introduces Tom Holland as Spider-Man.
If Civil War is to rake in such an amount, it will be marked as the fifth best opening of all time. The top four slots currently belong to Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million), Jurassic World ($208.8 million), Marvel's The Avengers ($207.4 million) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million).
Reviewers hold the film in high esteem, with a current rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 94 percent.
So whether you're Team Cap or Team Iron Man, you know you have to go see this film. I personally can't wait to get caught up in Spidey's web.
