The Tony Award nominations were revealed earlier today and among the nominees is none other than the queen of American Horror Story, Jessica Lange, who is nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Play. Currently playing Mary Cavan Tyrone in the 2016 Broadway revival of Long Day's Journey Into Night, Lange is no stranger to the role having played the character back in 2000.

Lange opted to take on the role instead of returning to American Horror Story for its Hotel installment. She has had a celebrated career, starring in several films including King Kong, Tootsie and Frances. She has received multiple awards, including two Oscars, three Emmys, five Golden Globes, one SAG Award and three Dorian Awards. Not bad, huh?

Two of Lange's Emmys were awarded to her for characters she played on American Horror Story. After Hotel didn't take off quite as well as everyone had hoped, speculation began surrounding Lange and a potential return to American Horror Story for its sixth season. This is entirely possible, especially since Long Day's Journey Into Night's Broadway run comes to an end on June 26th. Take a look at Lange in action in Long Day's Journey Into Night below.

The Tony Awards will air June 12 on CBS and will be available to stream across multiple platforms. A Tony win would be more than deserved for Miss Lange, who has been getting much recognition for her acting ability in recent years specifically for the character of Fiona Goode on American Horror Story: Coven. Lange is more than capable of winning, she is, after all, the Supreme!
