(Warning: The following article contains implied plot SPOILERS for both 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and the upcoming 'Justice League' movie, and a picture of a sweaty, muscle-bound Henry Cavill working out. Do with that what you will.)

With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's early box office supremacy soon turning to mild disappointment in the face of dwindling receipts and a critical skewering, it's perhaps not too surprising that Henry "Superman" Cavill is attempting to shake things up for the forthcoming Justice League. What is perhaps a little more surprising, however, is the fact that...

It Seems Henry Cavill is Flirting With a Whole New Power Set For Superman

Or, at least, that's what Cavill's latest Instagram post seems to (jokingly) suggest, with the actor turning a cunningly captured moment into a neat Star Wars gag.

Which, of course, isn't the first time a senior member of the Batman v Superman team has suggested that Cavill/Superman can use the Force — with director Zack Snyder posting this here image of Twitter a year or two ago:

With Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens looking likely to finish the year with more than double the box office takings of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, however, could there be more to this than meets the eye? Could Warner Bros. be considering suggesting a Star Wars/DC crossover to Disney?

Well, no, sadly — but it sure is a fun idea to daydream about.

In the meantime — and while we wait for both Justice League Part One and Star Wars Episode VIII to arrive next year — let's try not to dwell on the fact that Henry Cavill keeps telling us that he's in training for the Justice League movie, making Superman's "death" in Batman v Superman pretty much entirely redundant in a narrative sense. Or, y'know, the fact that Episode VIII is still over a year and a half away.

What do you think, though?
