I was recently lucky enough to be one of the few people who got to ask Zoom himself, Mr. Tony Todd, a few questions at Texas Frightmare Weekend.

First Let's examine the character of Zoom to get a little better understanding of where the super fast and super dark villain could possibly fit into the future of DC television. Hunter Zolomon, otherwise known as Zoom, is a fictional supervillain appearing in publications by DC Comics. He is primarily embroiled in conflict with the superhero Wally West, the third Flash, and is the third of the Reverse-Flashes. As Hunter Zolomon, he first appeared in The Flash: Secret Files & Origins #3 and was created by Geoff Johns and Scott Kolins. While mainly associated with The Flash, Zoom has long been a thorn in many other DC heroes' sides. IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time ranked Zoom as #37.

Hunter Zolomon/Zoom made his live action debut in The Flash portrayed by Teddy Sears and voiced, when masked, by none other than Tony Todd.

Tony talked about how his role as infamous DC villain Darkseid in LEGO DC Super Heroes: Justice League - Attack of the Legion of Doom! was what led producers to ask if he'd be interested in providing the voice for The Flash's sinister speedster. Todd went on to explain that originally Zoom was only scheduled for a three episode stint.

"I was brought on for what was initially supposed to be a 3 episode run. It wasn't long after filming had started when the producers of the show began to see the final product of my voice, Teddy's physical acting and the added effects combined. I think they realized that what they had with this character was special and subsequently the run was then extended to 17 episodes" (major applause)

Tony was quick to follow up with information about Zoom's future in the DC televised universe.

"Zoom will be back. (major applause) He's a character deeply cemented in many DC storylines and he will definitely be reappearing from time to time to shake things up"

That's all for now Flash fans. Hope you enjoy the season 2 finale and Don't Forget To Follow Me Here for more breaking news and great industry articles. Tell us below where you think Zoom could be speeding off to next.
