In Canada!

He's 42!

Little David Freeman!

I wish this wasn't true, but it looks like another child star has fallen very, very far.

Joey Cramer, who was the star of one of the best movies from soooo many childhoods, Flight of the Navigator, was arrested and charged with four offences in connection to the robbery of a bank near Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

Cramer, who lives in Gibsons, British Columbia, has only had 6 notable roles in his short career, plus one uncredited role in It's My Party, in 1996, as a party guest. He starred alongside Tom Selleck in Runaway in his first role in 1984, and Daryl Hannah in Clan of the Cave Bear in 1986. His biggest role was as the time-travelling abductee David Freeman in Flight of the Navigator.

That movie is right up at the top of the list of my favorite childhood movies, along with Stand by Me, Back to the Future and TMNT, so understandably, I and millions of children of the '80s are in terrible shock right now. We may need counselling.

Here's the original trailer for this cinematic masterpiece:

And this is me, weeping for childhoods everywhere

I'll end this by saying it...because I have to say it...

We won't see you later, navigator.

What was your favorite Joey Cramer film?
