It appears that there's no stopping the superhero box office hurricane that is Captain America: Civil War.
Just four days ago, it was reported that the blockbuster had already racked in a jaw-dropping $200 million at worldwide box offices. Now, it has gone even further and increased that impressive number to a whopping $261.6 million overseas. And can you guess what the best bit of all of this is? The fact that the Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. banger hasn't even come out in the US yet.
Relive the clash between these two titans in the trailer below:
Considering the debut on American soil is expected to be huge, Civil War is set on bringing box office figures to astronomical heights. Hopefully, considering the swelling fan anticipation for Marvel's latest juggernaut (currently standing at a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a record-breaking figure for advance ticket sales), it might even make it into the top five opening weekends category.
Some are even projecting that Civil War could rival the biggest-ever Marvel opening that was The Avengers in 2012, which opened with a colossal $207 million at domestic box offices.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
