I'm a Fan Theorist. I give ridiculous predictions for movies and TV shows. I'd like to call them "Ridictable Theories"!

There are at least three villains in the upcoming movie Rogue One. For this post I'm going to talk about the mysterious black hooded figure. Some say that it is Snoke and we get to see his origin, while others say that it's just simply Palpatine... heck it could just be Darth Vader getting out of the shower and he is wearing his black bathrobe.

The point is, we honestly don't know... Or do we?

I have a theory on who is under that black hood, but with this theory I'm going to give small hints that will lead to my conclusion.

It has to be someone close to Darth Vader, someone who has been clouding the ways of the force for a long period of time, someone who has been pulling the strings in not only in the Dark Side but also in politics, a native from Naboo and a well hated character in the whole Star Wars Saga!

Yes, you guessed it! Darth Jar Jar!

"Meesa Darth Jar Jar!"
"Meesa Darth Jar Jar!"

It not only makes sense with the previous theories that fans have cooked up, but the timing would be perfect!

I personally am a firm believer in this theory! Just pay close attention to his hand gestures whenever he talks to someone about making a big decision. I mean in one of the scenes on Tatooine, he matched his lips with one of Padme's protectors who was "... curious about the planet." Not only that, but droids don't trust him, not even R2 when he caught Jar Jar playing with the wirings for the shield generators.

Even his own kind banished him and wanted him punished. It was never really clear what he was banished for. He just said that he was "... banished for being... clumsy." I don't know about you, but who in the right mind get's banished for being clumsy? Jar Jar even hesitated mid sentence explaining why he was banished. Does that not sound sketchy to you?

To go even further, in one of the deleted scenes Jar Jar tells young Anakin that Padme was "hot", thus making a catalyst for Skywalker's love interest. Speaking of deleted scenes, there's one where Jar Jar falls to his watery grave. Now I know that you fans were probably hoping that that was going to happen, but what if the plan was to make it look like he was dead, but he comes back as the real villain in Episode II?

At the end of Episode III we didn't get to see what happens to Jar Jar. We see that Yoda and Kenobi went into exile, The Emperor and Vader started a bromance in a galaxy far far away with The Dark Side and after Padme's death the twins were separated. Nothing about what happens to Jar Jar...

It was mentioned at one point that if Jar Jar was going to appear in the new Star Wars movies, we would see his skeleton. Maybe we'll see him get killed off in the end of Rogue One and all that's left of him is a mere skeleton?

I personally think this could swing both ways. It could either be a successful twist if written carefully like in The Usual Suspects or it can be the biggest upset just like the The Mandarin in Iron Man 3.

If they were to go this route, they would have to keep his identity a secret by having him wear a mask and alter his voice. Then at the right moment, reveal himself as the real mastermind!

What do you think? Is Star Wars ready for the Phantom Menace AKA Darth Jar Jar?
