It seems Ben Affleck is a man who can do everything. He was already set to co-star in the Warner Bros. Justice League film, but now he is also taking on the role of executive producer.
The Renaissance man will be working alongside director Zack Snyder and screenwriter Chris Terrio, and with his past experience in writing and directing critically acclaimed fare such as Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Oscar-winning Argo, clearly he knows what he's doing.
This move is a show of Affleck's alliance with and support for Snyder. Although Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was panned by critics, it still grossed $864 million worldwide. Apparently the utilization of Affleck is a bid by Warner Bros. to find its footing, stylistically speaking, with its superhero films. Affleck, along with his writing partner Geoff Johns, is also set to relaunch the Batman franchise with a standalone film in 2018.
Justice League is set for a November 17, 2017 released, and will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
