I'm a Fan Theorist. I give ridiculous predictions for movies and TV shows. I'd like to call them "Ridictable Theories"!

I am a huge Movie Buff! That being said, I'm going to give you my list of 12 things you need to know when dating a Movie Buff!

1- They're Fluent in Movie Quotes

They will constantly quote a movie that they either recently saw or to just capture a nostalgic moment from their favorite quotable movie. Let's face it, they're Cinephiles. No matter what you say, they will think that what you're saying is a quote from a movie and they will ask, "What's that from?"

2- Dinner and a Movie is Always a Good Idea

Some may argue that a dinner and a movie date is boring and you don't have anything to talk about. Au contraire. Watching a movie on a date is a great ice breaker! Especially for those who don't know what to say on the first date. After watching the movie you have something to talk about. Your likes and dislikes about the movie. You might find a common interest on your thoughts on the film.

3- Books to Film

With various movies based on books, chances are the Movie Buff, who you're dating, has read those books. They either read them before the movie so that they can compare the differences or read them afterwards so that they can get a better visual.

4- The Movie Life

They relate everything in life to a movie they recently saw. You know, like the time when Spider-Man referenced The Empire Strikes Back to take down Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War.

5- Spoiler Alert

Self explanatory. If they see a movie that is worth talking about, they'll most likely spoil it for you. They try to do it out of love, because they want you to enjoy the movie as much as they did. But sometimes it doesn't work out that way...

6- Commentary

Going back to the Spoils, the Movie Buff will tend to have their own commentaries on the movie that they saw or are seeing. If it's a movie that they haven't seen, they will try to predict what will happen before the movie ends. It's really not that hard if the plot of the movie mirrors The Hero's Journey. Just saying...

7- Movie Games

Games are always fun with these Movie Buffers! The games they mostly play are: Scene It , Hold the Bacon(a 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon game, where you connect actors/actresses to other actors/actresses through movies without using Kevin Bacon), Name That Movie(you basically name the movie based on the quote said by the person) and my personally favorite... Directors! It's like Go Fish but you're trying to match movies with the directors who produced them.

8- They Do Voices

If you have seen as many movies as these Movie Buffs, you'll notice that they tend to change their voices based on the character that they are imitating from a recent movie that they have seen.

This is an awesome talent that they have. They can use it to tell entertaining stories to your future children, especially when reading children books.

9- Movie-cation

If you haven't seen a movie that they have seen. It is an absolute MUST to watch that movie in order for you to understand where they are coming from!

10- Movie Marathons and Binge Watching TV Shows

Once you start on a franchise or a season, you have to finish it! If yo don't, it's like not finishing your favorite meal! I mean who does that!?!

11- Halloween and Comic Cons are Their Favorite Times of the Year

Self explanatory...

12- Their Obsession With the Number 12
