[Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) had so many Avengers in the movie, it was basically Avengers 2.5. About an hour and a half into the movie, there is the biggest fight scene that involves pretty much all of the current Avengers, so let's take a look at how all of the fighters ranked among each other. SPOILER WARNING!
Team Captain America
Steve Rogers / Captain America
Captain America did an amazing job fighting Team Iron Man. He stuck to the objective of getting to the Quinjet in Hangar 5. He also spread himself out and fought many members of Team Iron Man such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and Black Panther. He also slid under a falling building and put the whole plan together.
Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier
Bucky Barnes had some of the best action scenes in the movie. While fighting in the airport, Bucky took on Black Panther, had a mini team-up with Falcon and slid under a falling building to escape with Captain America. My only dislike is that Spider-Man made Bucky look weak and unexperienced.
Sam Wilson / Falcon
Sam Wilson has greatly improved since Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He has upgraded his suit; he now has a drone named Redwing that he uses in many unique ways, such as pulling Spider-Man out of a building and giving Iron Man a push every once in a while. Towards the end of the fight, he dodged Vision's beam very well.
Clint Barton / Hawkeye
Hawkeye didn't have much action, but when he was in the fight, he did his job extremely well. He also had a mini team-up with Ant-Man. He used many different arrows, such as the splitting arrow that Ant-Man rode on and the explosive arrows he shot at Black Panther. He also distracted Iron Man so Wanda could drown him in cars. Even though he was holding off Iron Man and his team, he made sure Wanda was safe and not in trouble.
Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch
Wanda is one of the youngest Avengers and is still mourning the loss of her brother. She is easily one of the most powerful Avengers and she shows her abilities throughout the fight. She throws cars at Iron Man and Spider-Man, constrains some of her enemies and prevents a falling building from blocking the Quinjet. Wanda is maturing and realizing what she can do with the immense power she has.
Scott Lang / Ant-Man
Ant-Man blew everyone away with his unique fighting skills and his massive size. He crawled inside Iron Man's armor and almost disarmed it completely. He also became Giant-Man! He grew to fifty feet tall and destroyed everything in sight. He was the main crucial distraction to help Steve and Bucky escape to the Quinjet. He also had some funny lines such as "Does anyone have any orange slices?" and "Something just flew in me!" Ant-Man was a massive (no pun intended) part of the fight and blew everyone away. The only slightly disappointing part was that Ant-Man didn't use any of his ants in the fight.
Team Iron Man
Tony Stark / Iron Man
Iron Man was a fearless leader who tried keeping everything together. He was flying around fighting Captain America, Ant-Man and Falcon. He teamed up a lot with War Machine to either double punch Ant-Man or chase after the Quinjet. After Captain America and Winter Soldier take off and Rhodes gets hit, Iron Man immediately makes him his number one priority because he cares more about his friend's life than Captain America and his escape. This idea is also shown when he sees Spider-Man on the floor he tells him that he is done fighting so he doesn't get seriously hurt. One of the only negatives was that Iron Man could have brought out the
Iron Legion or the Hulkbuster, but decided not to.
Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow
Black Widow held her own against much more powerful heroes. She is one of the only ones without a suit or enhanced abilities. She is charging into the fight just as fast as everyone else even though she is going up against people that may kill her. She fights with Hawkeye and Ant-Man, but her most important moment was when she betrayed Team Iron Man and stunned Black Panther to help out Steve and Bucky get to Serbia. She does her job playing both sides and adds another twist to the airport fight that was already full of twists.
Lieutenant James Rhodes / War Machine
This is War Machine's biggest role in the MCU. He was flying around the airport causing chaos. He was fighting Captain America with a taser sword and chasing after Falcon while shooting at his wings. He sticks to the mission until the end when he gets injured. He seems a little clumsy and bulky especially when Giant-Man grabbed him. Even though he isn't the most experienced, he fought to the end.
T'Challa / Black Panther
Black Panther was the star of this movie. His accent was perfect and his fight scenes were amazing. He was on a path of revenge for his father's death and would do anything to kill Bucky. He was fighting Bucky, Hawkeye and Captain America. He was chasing Captain America and Bucky all the way into the hangar. He was stunned by Black Widow and still jumped up and grabbed the wheel of the airplane. T'Challa is a very serious person, but he had a funny line while fighting Hawkeye. Clint introduces himself and Black Panther says: "I don't care." Black Panther was a savage in this fight, but seemed a little weak when he was stunned — his suit should have protected him. Other than that, Black Panther was perfect.
Vision was hardly in this fight. He draws a line in the ground, bumps into Ant-Man, flies through Ant-Man and knocks down a building. He also hits War Machine on accident. That's it. Vision was completely underused in this fight. This is probably because Vision is almost god-like and he can easily destroy most of the Avengers. He shot War Machine once and it almost killed him. Marvel should have had a fight with Scarlet Witch instead of him comforting her. Vision was pretty much not in the fight and should have had a bigger role in the fight.
Peter Parker / Spider-Man
Spider-Man made his first appearance into the Marvel Cinematic universe and he wowed everyone. He was funny, smart, witty and charismatic. He went toe to toe with Captain America. He webbed Falcon and Bucky to the ground. He was also the one who thought of the AT-AT takedown method for Giant-Man. He also had many funny jokes such as: "Hey guys, you ever see that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back?" and "You have a metal arm? That is AWESOME, dude!" Spider-Man was one of the highlights of the fight and the whole movie in general.
