It's been a while since I've heard anything about Jessica Drew. I personally like her as an Avenger. Even though it's been a while, lots of people were talking about her. I hope to start that buzz again. One another note, one of my main teams in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is her, Cap, Iron Man, and Ms. Marvel. I also liked her in Avengers vs X-Men. Without further ado, let's go right in!
How Can She Possibly Fit In Now?
That's a good question. Let's be real we've wanted Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel (I understand some people don't like calling Carol Danvers Captain Marvel because of DC's Shazam/Captain Marvel. Just wanted to clear that up.) since Avengers: Age of Ultron and besides here film, we haven't hear anything. If we haven't heard anything about a confirmed character, what makes me think we can squeeze in an unconfirmed character?
Allow me to explain.
Deadpool was an all out comedy and it had mad success. It's been said that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be a comedy. A little cleaner obviously, with it being Disney. I think a way to ease Spider-Woman in would be to make jokes. We've heard that Tony Stark will be in the film, but I've heard that Steve Rogers will be too. If you've seen Captain America: Civil War, you'll see how both of them have that sort of mentor relationship with Spidey. T
The cool thing about Jessica Drew is that she is no way related to Peter Parker. She's older than he is and she also can fly and shoot bio-electric venom blasts. She also has pheromones that attract men to her. Anyway, there are constant jokes in real life and the comic world about Spider-Man and Spider-Woman.
Three Times the Charm
Iron Man approaches Spider-Man about the Iron Spider suit or something like that. Either way, Tony Stark is talking with him and makes a joke like "Do you know Spider-Woman? Oh no? I could have sworn you did because you'll sound just like her until you hit puberty!" Somewhere in between the beginning and middle of the film.
It's Cap's turn to mess with Spidey now. Now I'm not sure if he'll be in the film or not. Even if he's not, Iron Man's joke is still funny. Say Captain America is talking about his combat skills, his heart, and other things that Cap would probably say. "Can you fly? Eh. Spider-Woman can fly". This could be two or three scenes after Iron Man.
They could visit him together for all I care! Cap and Iron Man left off on "good" terms. Say Iron Man decides he needs Captain America to talk to Spider-Man. Not only to mentor him, but for these two Avengers to rebuild their trust and get ready for Thanos.
This one could be the end credit scene. Have Jessica Drew chillin at Avengers Tower watching Spider-Man on TV and you hear her say something like "At least I can fly" or something to let us know that it's her.
Wait! How Do Steve and Tony Know her?
It is believed that the MCU has finally seen the Secret Avengers. Formed at the end of Captain America: Civil War. I believe that that team consists of Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, Hawkeye, Sharon Carter, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man. Cap keeping Iron Man posted too. I believe that in the gap between that movie and this new Spider-Man one, they could have met Jessica Drew and possibly made her an Avenger.
Also something fun, comment who you think should play her.
