Coming off the not so beloved Batman V Superman, Ben Affleck's next project sees him star as Christian Wolff, a math genius who works as a freelance accountant for dangerous criminal organisations. With a treasury agent hot on his heels, Wolff takes on a state-of-the-art robotics company as a legitimate client. As Wolff gets closer to the truth about a discrepancy that involves millions of dollars, the body count starts to rise.

The Accountant is a film I've been anticipating for quite a while now, ever since The Town back in 2010, I'm eager to see whatever Ben Affleck stars in and pair that with the directing talent of Gavin O'Connor who directed the absolutely terrific Warrior back in 2011, this sounds pretty great.

It's obvious to see the similarity between this and the film that got Ben Affleck's career going; Good Will Hunting. Affleck stars as a math genius, a man who has more affinity for numbers than people. But unlike Good Will Hunting, Affleck's character uses his skills for more illegal ventures.

Affleck is an actor who's only getting better with age and seems to have improved drastically ever since taking up directing. His performances in The Town, Argo, Gone Girl, Runner Runner and most recently Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice prove that. His performance here looks very different, very reserved and subdued, but that doesn't stop him from also joining in the action.

I'm very impressed with this first trailer, I think this could genuinely be something quite special, especially with the people involved. What did you think of the first trailer for The Accountant? Let me know in the comments and make sure to follow me on Twitter @JamesPorter97

The Accountant hits theaters on October 14th 2016 and stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal and J.K Simmons.
