In an official announcement that surprises absolutely no one, Kevin Feige has confirmed the rumor that Natalie Portman will not return for the third installment of what I guess is the Thor trilogy. When interviewed by Empire Film, Kevin Feige replied to the question of if Natalie Portman was sitting this out with:

I can confirm that, yes

While this is far from unexpected considering how little Natalie Portman reportedly enjoyed making these films, I find it highly amusing to go back and watch the scene in Age of Ultron where Tony and Thor debate who has the better girlfriend. You know, because neither actress seems to show up in their movies anymore.

Kevin Feige also released some other interesting tidbits about Thor: Ragnarok in the interview, revealing that:

There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this movie. 80 to 90 percent takes place in the cosmos.

Again, hardly surprising, as the film has a fair bit of legwork to try and set up for Infinity War along with the next Guardian of the Galaxy, but it does beg the question as to how the Hulk manages to get into space, considering that he's supposed to play a prominent role.

This is all good news, as we've all been waiting for Thor to embrace his roots and go all out on the space adventuring rather than stick to boring old, exam-full, planet Earth.

What other changes are you expecting for Thor: Ragnarok?
