Yesterday I watched “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and a lot of things came to my mind. I know I’m 2 years late, but the ‘secret’ scene after the credits showing (what appears to be) En Sabah Nur (a.k.a Apocalypse) building the pyramid gave me quite the chills. Why? With the movie called “X-Men: Apocalypse” being around the corner lots of question marks started hovering above my head.

Before I start, I would like to mention everything that is written below is a pure speculation. I would like to emphasise as well that I haven’t read any of the comics and that everything I state below came from the research I did on the internet… So, lets begin!

First of all, trailer for the upcoming X-Men movie shows us clearly that with the coming of En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse) the devastation has truly came upon Earth. His four ‘Horsemen of the Apocalypse’ have a big role and will be his main tool in achieving his goal: destroying the Earth and everything that lives on it. But there’s one ‘slight’ of an obstacle. X-Men and the Avengers! I sincerely doubt we will see any of the Avengers in the upcoming movie (especially after the Captain America: Civil War showed some of them fighting amongst themselves, budget and everything). But still, Marvel did say Avengers: Infinity War will contain a massive number of characters from comics and movies aren’t made in chronological order. But lets get back to Captain America: Civil War… Thor didn’t appear in the movie. As the matter of fact, he wasn’t even mentioned. In the comics, Thor kills the Horsemen of the Apocalypse single-handedly in the 11th century when he comes to aid of a pagan named Folkbern Logan (who Horsemen of the Apocalypse were supposed to kill). Thus proves his immense power and brings the question of what he’s really capable of. (We’ll probably see in his own movie – Thor: Ragnarok). And we know he’s quite a friend with the Avengers. So what’s with the Infinity Stones, Thanos, EVERYTHING? Another reason why I doubt this would happen is it’s even hard to imagine all these universes together. Mutants, Avengers, X-Men, Thanos and Apocalypse. Asgard, Midgard (Earth) and all other alternate realities. Way too much for me to think about. I can only imagine what kind of a nightmare would it be for a screenwriter to include everything and make it as much as realistic.

Back to the X-Men and the Apocalypse. In the 20th century a battle between new Horsemen and the X-Men emerged. In the end the X-Men killed the Horsemen by finding out where their hideout is and thus saved the New York City from being torn apart. Howewer, after a battle with the X-Men in their mansion, Hulk is taken by Apocalypse and becomes the new incarnation of War. To shorten up the story, not only Hulk becomes the “Horsemen”. Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue and Psylocke happen to be the Horsemen for some time as well. With Apocalypse (as the first of all the mutants and the first one to walk the Earth as well) he’s able to manipulate other mutants and take/grant powers. Later in the future Cerebra detects six hundred signatures of new mutants in Tokyo which Colossus and the team of young mutants he trained go to investigate. Investigation ends up with them being teleported thousand years into the future where they find themselves in a completely destroyed New York City. Soon after, X-Men track Colossus and his team with a help of Cerebra just to find out Colossus has become one of the new four Horsemen, alongside future versions of Deadpool, Venom and female Moon Knight.

Without actually reading all of the comics, it really confuses reading Horsemen here, Horsemen there… The main problem is Marvel introduced a comic with alternate reality known as “Age of the Apocalypse”. There we can find about Cable becoming War, Horsemen of the Apocalypse. And I’m not done here. In “Cable & Deadpool”, Deadpool traveled between alternate universes searching for Cable when he found 8-legged Spider-Man as a Pestilence, another Horsemen of the Apocalypse. And if you though that’s it – you’re wrong. With recent Captain America movie, few things might pop on your mind as well after I state few more names affiliated with Apocalypse…

There was A LOT of questioning of how strong the Scarlet Witch is… No, I will not answer that question, I will leave it for the future movies to show us, but I will say this… Scarlet Witch altered the reality by creating the ‘House of M’. With that, Apocalypse was brought back to life. Magneto (from the X-Men) appears and after becoming Apocalypse’s subordinate he’s been sent to Wakanda to kill the Black Panther. (Now you see where did the title of the post come – don’t you?) Now when I’m already talking about the Avengers try to remember Apocalypse becoming gigantic in a trailer, crushing Professor X to the ground. Now when you have that in mind, try not to think of a X-Men/Avengers crossover after you read the next few sentences. In the "Marvel Mangaverse" comic giant Apocalypse fought ‘Iron Avenger’... (‘What the hell is that?’ Kind of you to ask!) Iron Avenger appears to be a four vehicular machine that can transform itself into the gigantic Iron Man when put together. And the best part – four Avengers piloting it are Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Hawkeye and Vision!

I could just finish it here and I would probably convince you that this crossover is more then possible. But being stubborn as always – I won’t! (Keep reading – you won’t regret it!)

While waging war against Ultron in the near future, Kang the Conqueror accidentally breaks time itself in an attempt to gather an army from various time periods, to aid him in defeating Ultron. As a result of this, Apocalypse and his Horsemen ended up in the present day at Avengers’ Tower. A battle ensues between the Avengers and the Horsemen (which at that time appear to be Spider-Man, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch and Red Hulk, who have been infected with the techno-virus and fused with their mounts). Four of them together? Alrighty then! The fight ends with a happy ending, when the villains are teleported away back into the timestream.

And now I can finally say: that’s all folks! If my speculation miraculously proves to be true and I spoil all of the future Marvel movies, please forgive me – but don’t blame me! ;)

Please comment below if I’m wrong with anything said above! And if you agree/disagree, please let me know as well in the comments. I would like to keep this topic going and hear some other thoughts as well!

Thanks for reading!

What do you think? Is the crossover possible?
