Directed by David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is the sequel to Jonathan Liebesman’s 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. This sequel is packed with more characters, including the much beloved villains Bebop and Rocksteady. The Shredder, played by a different actor, will also make his return along with anti-hero Casey Jones played by Arrow’s Steven Amell.

However, the villain who has yet to be explored in the movie universe is Krang. Hailing directly from Dimension X, this alien creature has been a thorn in the turtles side for quite some time. Debuting in the 1987 animated cartoon, Krang has consistently teamed up with Shredder to take down Splinter and his four Ninja Turtles. Krang is famous for being inside one of his specially made robotic suits which allows him to maneuver around with ease. The suit makes him nearly indestructible and poses a huge threat to the turtles.

A recent TV spot has been released online and gives us a better look at Krang. Check out the TV spot below!

There are two blink and you’ll miss it moments from this short clip. The two times you spot Krang, are seen with him outside of his mecha-suit. The first time is at the 6 second mark where the other is right around the 12 second mark.

While we have yet to hear him speak, his appearance looks like that of his cartoon and video game counterpart. The creators appear to have done a phenomenal job with his look. Hopefully he will become a formidable opponent like he is in the show and can give the turtles one hell of a fight!

This film definitely looks to be another CGI overloaded movie but quite frankly, it has to be. The characters of Bebop and Rocksteady just wouldn’t hold up now a days if we are seeing actors in a Jim Henson-like costume. The same goes for Krang. It’d be difficult to make a puppet out of him and show him attacking the turtles inside of a giant tech-suit.

I really hope the director can knock this movie out of the park. I’ve been waiting for quite some time to see Bebop and Rocksteady on the big screen. Remember, they were supposed to appear in the second live-action Ninja Turtles movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. However, writers Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird ran into legal trouble with these characters and were forced to opt for Tokka and Rahzar instead.

I’m also curious to see what they bring to Krang on the big screen. Hopefully we get a menacing villain who is more than willing to help alongside the Shredder to take out the turtles. I also hope to see the Technodrome make an appearance along with Wheel-bots and Mousers. Am I asking for too much here?

So those are my thoughts on the latest TMNT: Out of the Shadows TV spot. Are you excited to see this movie? What expectations do you have going in? I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts in the comment section below and don’t forget to share!
