On May 25th, DC will be relaunching more than just their comics. The special one-shot issue of Rebirth will also feature a brand new logo.
Amit Desai, DC’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Global Franchise Management, stated “While comics continue to be the heart and soul of DC, the brand has evolved to now stand for powerful storytelling across so many different forms of media. DC is home to the greatest Super Heroes and Super-Villains, and the new logo has the character and strength to stand proudly alongside DC’s iconic symbols.”
Geoff Johns, who wrote the special issue, is excited about the future the logo represents. “I’m very proud that REBIRTH will be the first comic book published with the new DC logo. To me, REBIRTH and the new DC logo are built on what’s come before while looking to what will come tomorrow. I can’t wait for people to see it on the cover.”
DC has already launched the logo on its various digital platforms, including its website, comics app, and social media pages. The company plans to utilize the new logo on all its products over time, so expect to see it on its comics, on television, and at the movies.
