Kim Kardashian has many job titles under her cincher belt but the reality star/selfie model/professional buttock owner has a brand new glamorous title according to the Iranian authorities. Yep, that right, apparently Kimmy K is also a secret agent. Who knew?!
According to The Organized Cyberspace Crimes Unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (imagine whipping out that job title at a party), Kim Kardashian is nothing but a mere pawn of Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom, who is hellbent on corrupting Iranian women through the unstoppable power of the sexy selfie.
Kim Kardashian is being charged with promoting "un-Islamic" behavior through her provocative images, and apparently they are channeling their inner pearl-clutching Granny and taking the threat "very seriously."
OCCU spokesman Mostafa Alizadeh spoke out about his concerns about Kim to the Iranian news outlet Iran Wire on Sunday to explain:
"They are targeting young people and women. Foreigners are behind it because it is targeting families. These schemes originate from around the Persian Gulf and England. When you draw the operational graph, you will see that it is a foreign operation. Ms. Kim Kardashian is a popular fashion model so Instagram’s CEO tells her, 'make this native.' There is no doubt that financial support is involved as well. We are taking this very seriously."
Kim K is being targeted under "Operation Spider II" which aims to eliminate social media that doesn't comply to the state's strictly enforced modesty standards and punish those who have shared the offending posts.
Although the headline might seem funny at first, women are actually being dragged into court in Iran for violating the countries strict Islamic Law which has forced women to cover their hair in public since 1979. Although the Instagram images are taken within the women's own homes, broadcasting them on the internet is punished for "promoting Western values."
One of the women who has been arrested and tried in court through the Operation Spider II program is Elham Arab who is a top model in her native Iran and well known for her blond hair and lavish wedding photoshoot.
Arab recently appeared in court wearing a black chador pleading forgiveness for her actions after being charged with promoting "Western promiscuity," the model told the courts:
"All people love beauty and fame. They would like to be seen, but it is important to know what price they will pay to be seen."
Another famous Iranian woman named Elnaz Golrokh and her husband Hamid Fadaei (who is one of the most famous faces in Iran) have fled the country to Dubai to avoid being prosecuted under Operation Spider. Golrokh, who works as a makeup artist and has a Kylie Jenner-esque profile in Iran, told her Instagram fans that:
"Unfortunately for the moment I will not be active in Iran, but I will continue my work outside Iran. Thanks for your support and your positive energy. I love you."
