WARNING: Spoilers and speculation ahead for Game of Thrones Season 6.

In the age of streaming and binge-watching entire seasons at the push of a button, there's something slightly old school about waiting a week to get your next fix of Game of Thrones — but that's why the Many-Faced God invented spoilers.

In a recent interview with Yahoo, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner used a game of two truths and a lie to drop a few hints about where their respective characters Arya and Sansa Stark are headed as Season 6 heats up. In the process, they revealed something potentially very spoilerific about the fates of Arya and Ramsay Bolton.

Let's take a look at their three statements.

Turner said:

  • Ramsay dies
  • Lady Stoneheart returns
  • Arya checks three people off her list
Arya's training continues with the Waif.
Arya's training continues with the Waif.

Williams' three statements:

  • Arya goes to Westeros, back over the sea
  • Arya doesn't cross any more names off her list
  • Arya is in the trailer more times than people realized, because they don't realize it's her

Let's Break This Down...

Obviously, the two statements about Arya's list contradict each other. If we assume that Arya will take out more of her targets, Williams' first and third statements must be true, meaning Arya's apprenticeship is nearing completion and she'll soon become a Faceless Man.

I wonder how the Waif would feel about that...

Of course, it might not be true, although that would feel like an anticlimax, especially after Episode 3's hint about the return of Sandor Clegane suggested that somebody, whether it's "a girl" or the Hound himself, will deal with Cersei and the Mountain soon enough.

Approaching the clues from another perspective, the return of Catelyn Stark as the cold-blooded Lady Stoneheart seems by far the most unlikely of the three — although we know that Thoros of Myr will be seen again this season, and his Brotherhood Without Banners were responsible for resurrecting the corpse of Catelyn in the books.

I'm calling Lady Stoneheart as the lie.

What About Lady Stoneheart?

Still, if we assume that Lady Stoneheart is off the cards, we have a confirmation of the fact that Ramsay Bolton will finally get his comeuppance before the season is out. Hardly a surprise, but definitely something to look forward to. It would also confirm Arya's three kills, in turn confirming that Arya's apprenticeship under Jaqen H'ghar will culminate in her becoming a Faceless Man.

So, what have we learned from the Stark sisters? Basically, all roads point to Arya completing her training and turning her attention to Cersei Lannister, while Ramsay Bolton is probably dead meat — or Lady Stoneheart actually is happening, in which case somebody better have that champagne on ice.

Check out the promo trailer for Season 6, Episode 5 above, in which we see Sansa, Arya, and a bunch of people who aren't Arya, unless they secretly are. God, I love Game of Thrones.

Will Arya become a Faceless Man and take three names off her list in Season 6? And is Ramsay dead meat?
