Joining the throng of Disney live-action adaptions, the trailer for one tale as old as time dropped this morning, collectively spinning our romantic dreams of a happily ever after temporarily out of control.

As we all simmer with anticipation over the upcoming glimpses of Belle's fellow cast mates in inevitable trailers to follow, let's remind ourselves exactly who'll be starring in this beautiful live-action reimagining — and put their service to the test.

Belle — Emma Watson

Where you know her from: Obviously, Watson is mostly famed for her portrayal of Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise. She has since gone on to appear in a number of feature films including: My Week with Marilyn, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, This Is the End and Regression.

Beast — Dan Stevens

Where you know him from: Lovers of British period dramas may recognize Stevens as Matthew Crawley in Downton Abbey. He's also known for movies such as The Fifth Estate, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and The Ticket.

Lumiere — Ewan McGregor

Where you know him from: McGregor's back catalog features a wealth of impressive roles. From climbing into a toilet in Trainspotting to his portrayal of Obi-Wan in Star Wars I: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, to parts in Moulin Rogue!, I Love You Phillip Morris and Fargo the TV series, there are few corners of the cineverse this Scottish actor hasn't touched.

Cogsworth — Ian McKellen

Where you know him from: Yo most probably know McKellen best when he's winning at life, blowing unbelievable smoke rings via his role as Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises. Other movies/TV shows include X-Men, The Da Vinci Code, The Golden Compass, Vicious and Extras.

Gaston — Luke Evans

Where you know him from: Evans has appeared in a number of blockbusters over the years, such as Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Furious 7 and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Mrs. Potts — Emma Thompson

Where you know her from: Who doesn't love a bit of Emma Thompson? You'll know her best as Professor Sybil Trelawney in the Harry Potter franchise and roles in Love Actually, Nanny McPhee and Saving Mr. Banks.

Beauty and the Beast will waltz into theaters March 17, 2017.
