*WARNING: While these are rumors, they could amount to spoilers for Suicide Squad. Read at your own risk.*
Fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming Suicide Squad, with hopes that the film can turn things around for the post-Batman v Superman DC Extended Universe. Reactions to an early screening of the film in Union City, California have been overwhelmingly positive, and now more details about the film's rumored plot are hitting the Web.
The site reports that Batman does not meet the entire Suicide Squad during the film. However, the Dark Knight's first appearance is said to involve Will Smith's Deadshot in what's been described as an emotional scene.
The next Batman scene is a car chase involving the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). That won't be a surprise to fans, as the character can be spotted atop a car in trailers for the film. According to the site, Batman mainly interacts with Harley Quinn in the scene, foregoing a one-on-one encounter with the Joker.
The character's final scene is rumored to be a flashback featuring Deadshot.
Though there's no official word on if these are actual scenes in the film, it would make sense for Batman to primarily interact with Deadshot and Harley Quinn. Smith and Robbie are perhaps the film's biggest stars (outside of Affleck and Leto), and have been featured prominently in various trailers and marketing materials. The Suicide Squad may be a team, but Harley Quinn and Deadshot are primed to be breakout characters. Giving them some quality time with Batman only makes them appear more important to the greater DCEU.
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5. Are you excited to see Batman in the movie? Do you think these rumors are true? Let us know in the comments.
