They're the hottest celebrity couple around, and now Blake Shelton is melting more hearts by revealing that his relationship with Gwen Stefani saved him in the time following his 2015 divorce.
The country singer and The Voice coach recently spoke with CMT's Hot 20 Countdown's Katie Cook, and dished some goss on their relationship. First up he talked about how the unexpected pairing just worked:
"It's not something anybody could've seen coming besides God, I guess, because it doesn't look like it would make sense. All I can tell you is that it does. It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives."
And despite being unexpected (perhaps because the two work in such different musical genres), Gwen and Blake have proved just what a perfect couple they are with the recently released track 'Go Ahead and Break My Heart' for Shelton's tenth studio album. Shelton also starred in the background of the video clip for Stefani's song 'Make Me Life You,' which she admits was written about him.
Blake also got pretty real about how important his relationship with Gwen had been for him following the breakdown of his second marriage to Miranda Lambert:
"I tell people all the time, 'Gwen saved my life last year.' She did. I think she'd probably tell you something similar about me."
Wow! Talk about perfect timing.
Gwen and Blake started dating last November after Gwen acted as a mentor for Blake's team on Season 9 of The Voice. Fellow Voice coach, Christine Aguilera was quick to give her support to the series first romance.
