We're all pretty accustomed to trying to work out where the Game of Thrones cast will lead us next as they fight against the odds in Westeros every Sunday evening. Yet sometimes, it seems that these wonderful actors and actresses decide to take a break from filming brutal scenes of blood-shed and mass-murder and instead, ride with their swords held high into contemporary music videos.
The following seven stars have appeared in clips for various bands alongside garnering their reputations as some of the biggest names in the business on the acclaimed HBO show. Find out who below!
1. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) in Bastille's 'Oblivion'
Sophie Turner channels similar bad-ass vibes in the music video for Bastille. Except this time, instead of donning a headdress and a cape, she's sporting a dangly earring and lip-syncing to some male vocals in her leather jacket:
2. Carice van Houten (Melisandre) in 'Emily'
'Emily' is Carice van Houten's first single from her upcoming album, aptly named 'See You On The Ice.' And while we might all know that winter is most definitely coming, the revelation of her stunning vocals is totally unexpected:
3. Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) in Kodaline's 'High Hopes'
Alongside having to deal with White Walkers and pledging himself to serving the One True King of Westeros, Davos Seaworth clearly also has to deal with suicide and runaway brides as shown by this music video for Dublin-based band Kodaline:
4. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) in Seafret's 'Oceans'
In Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams may be The Girl who has overcome blindness while in training to become a lethal assassin, but in Seafret's music clip, she's just a poor little soul who dreams of becoming a superhero in a world littered with bullies:
5. Oona Chaplin (Talisa Maegyr) in Natalia Tena's (Osha) band Molotov Jukebox's 'Neon Lights'
Here's a double whammy of GoT music video action for you guys! If you didn't know that Natalia Tena was the front-woman of her own band Molotov Jukebox, prepare to be surprised. All the more so, because she had her show co-star Oona Chaplin star in her clip. Check her out stripping and murdering dudes in the 'Neon Lights' video:
6. Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) in Lily Allen's 'Alfie'
Before Alfie Allen's Theon got his bits chopped off by Ramsey Bolton and escaped back to the Iron Islands, he was a relatively unknown actor. One thing that he was recognized for though, was for being in his sister Lily Allen's song 'Alfie.' Thankfully, it seems he's moved on from his days of chain-smoking weed and playing video games in his bedroom:
Ok, to be fair, he doesn't actually appear in the music video but the fact that his sister's song is all about him, totally makes up for it.
