Chloë Grace Moretz has had some pretty wild, dark, and kick-a$$ roles, but the actress herself is known to be a bit of a goody two-shoes. The Hollywood sensation worked her way up from The Amityville Horror to Kick-Ass, followed by Carrie, Hugo, and most recently Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising:
In the past, the actress has admitted to being raised with strict curfews, Uber car service tracking and not being allowed to date. However, at age 19, she is enjoying her freedom and is even dating Brooklyn Beckham! In her own Grace-fully tame rebellion, Chloë has expressed herself in the form of tattoos.
Naturally, Chloë's tattoos live via Instagram:
Moretz visited tattoo artist Jon Boy at West 4 Tattoo in New York City, who shared pictures on his Instagram of the tats he etched on the actress's body. Jon Boy is notorious for A-list stars such as Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin.
Who is Janette Duke? It's Chloë's maternal grandmother, deceased at age 82 in March 2014, who went by the name "Memom" to her eight grandchildren.
The above tattoos date back to last year. The two pictures on top are of Chloë fixing a mistake by covering it up with her grandmother's nickname. The bottom two are of her mother Teri Duke's new tattoos as a symbol of her being a cancer survivor for 10 years. The celebrity has made a habit of revolving her tattoos around family.
She previously got a tattoo on her outer thigh of the initials of her family members: TBTKCE. It includes her Trevor (brother), Brandon (brother), Teri (mother), K (possibly her deceased sister), Colin (brother) and Ethan (brother). While you may have noticed she has a lot of brothers, or that her father isn't on there, you're probably curious about our assumptions of who "K" stands for.
In an interview with Interview Magazine in 2011, Chloë shared:
“I used to have a sister, but I never got to meet her, because she died after two days, I think. So if I got a tattoo, it would probably be something to do with my sister.”
In this case, K stands for someone else entirely. Moretz's BFF Kathryn Gallagher, who makes music, accompanied the star to West 4 Tattoo to get matching white ink tattoos of their combined initials CK.
No worries, Chloë Grace Moretz didn't give her bestie the tattoo, but she seems to enjoy the practice.
