Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! Who's gonna call you to try and convince you to turn to Scientology? Ghostbusters! Yup, really — it was recently revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that spirit destroying actress Leslie Jones used to have an interesting job.
Long before the days of Saturday Night Live and blockbuster Hollywood movies, Jones was working as a telemarketer. Although it's a common occupation for those starting out, it turns out Jones was selling Scientology, the controversial and often elitist religion. Talking on the show on Wednesday the actress said:
“Uh, yeah ... They kinda still don’t know I’m not a Scientologist. Thanks for blowing my cover, Ellen.I lived in Glendale, I needed to pay the rent and it was a very easy interview — I just [acted] crazy.”
"I Gotta Pull Out The Heavy Guns"
Jones was joined by her Ghostbusters co-stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon, to promote the release of the movie. The reboot of the 1984 cult classic focuses on a ghost invasion of Manhattan. Director Paul Feig also explained on the show why he opted for the all-female line-up. He said:
“When I was putting this together, I just said, ‘I have lists of people who make me laugh. And I have one list of the people that make me cry,’ and so I thought, I’m doing ‘Ghostbusters,’ I gotta pull out the heavy guns. And so these four women are just so funny and it’s really an honor.”

Ghostbusters is released on July 15.
