The future looks pretty bright for the Star Wars Franchise. Episode VIII is currently in production, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is due out later this year and generally speaking people can't get enough from that galaxy far, far away.
The recently released key art for Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 puts the franchise's hopeful future front and center, showing off characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside the cast of Rogue One, with plenty of vehicles, stormtroopers and other extras in tow.
The new art puts female heroes Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) centerstage, emphasizing the prominent positions women hold in the revived franchise. Fans got a good look at Erso and the rest of the Rogue One cast after pages from the film's upcoming art book leaked earlier this month, but their appearance in the new art fuels even more excitement for the upcoming film.
The key art also provides the first instance of Mark Hamill appearing as Luke Skywalker in any promotional materials for the new films, suggesting that his role in the upcoming Episode VIII will be pretty big. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot the first look at the new shoretroopers from Rogue One alongside the new AT-ACT (All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport) in the bottom left. Overall, it's a beautiful image that harkens back to Drew Struzan's original Star Wars art while being filled with modern flair.
Luckily, the key art will be featured on merchandise throughout Star Wars Celebration Europe, and fans can even buy it as a poster. If you're not attending you should still be able to snag the art online around the time of event, so don't worry about missing out.
Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 will take place at the ExCel in London, England from July 15 to July 17. What are you most excited to see in future Star Wars movies? Let us know in the comments.
