Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is returning next year, once again, after his brief appearance in the highly acclaimed Captain America: Civil War as his first standalone movie in the MCU, Spider-Man: Homecoming, hits the theaters on July 7, 2017. Tom Holland will be playing Spider-Man/Peter Parker and will be joined by Zendaya, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton who were also confirmed for the film.

The movie is set to introduce a new villain of Spider-Man that people haven't seen on the big screen, as the studio stated, which is rumored to be the Vulture and fans presume that Michael Keaton will be playing as the winged man.

Moreover, another confirmed cast for the movie is actress Laura Harrier with still an unspecified role.

The studio remains quiet regarding the movie's premise but if the speculations about the Vulture finally commencing its way into the cinematic universe is true and Harrier's role in the movie is still unknown, then Spider-Man: Homecoming may not only introduce a new villain but also a new character as well.

In April 2016, Harrier was in talks for the film and it was said that she would have a significant role in the movie. That being said, Laura Harrier may not only appear in the movie as Peter Parker's possible high school friend but also a possible sidekick.

Ava Ayala, also known as the White Tiger, first appeared in Avengers Academy #20 (December 2011). She is as agile as a cat and has cat-like reflexes as well. Ava is the fifth White Tiger and the current successor of her family's legacy as she possesses the White Tiger Amulet that grants her the tiger-like abilities. Electrified claws is her main choice of weapon, enabling her to shock opponents in hand-to-hand combat.

White Tiger and Spider-Man fought against evil together both in the comics and in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man so it would be awesome to see her stand beside Spider-Man once again.

There is no testimony about Laura Harrier's specific role in the movie yet but knowing that she would have a notable part in the film, Harrier as the possible White Tiger is far from repudiation.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be directed by Jon Watts while John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein were hired to write the script. Filming is expected to commence in June 2016 at Pinewood Atlanta.

Do you think White Tiger will appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Spider-Man's possible sidekick?
