The battles in Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were impressive, sure, but these were just the warm-up fights. After what's seemed like an eternity, the superhero clash that everyone's really been waiting for has finally arrived — Powerpuff Girls V Teen Titans.
Cartoon Network has just revealed the first image from the upcoming crossover event and neither team seems too happy about it. Inevitably though, it seems that the Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans will reconcile their differences once the evil monkey Mojo Jojo arrives to cause havoc in Titan's town.
The executive producer of The Powerpuff Girls, Nick Jennings, had this to say about the highly anticipated episode;
"Jump City will never be the same when our little superheroes Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup meet up with the Teen Titans for the very first time. When these two worlds of superheroes collide, it will surely be something to remember.”
That's not enough though, Jennings. What do Cyborg and Beast think about Mojo Jojo? What do the girls get up to? And will there be a catchy song?
“Titans members Cyborg and Beast Boy find Mojo Jojo to be pretty cool for a talking monkey, the Girls compete with Raven, Starfire and Robin to see which superhero team is better, and there's a catchy song called Monkey Army that's bound to get stuck in fans' heads.”
"Monkey Army" sounds amazing, but what we really want to know is will the crossover be fun? Perhaps a second opinion could help here.
"It's a really fun crossover that came about in a very organic way," adds Titans producer Aaron Horvath, "and it was really great getting to put these two iconic superhero teams together.”
Cheers Horvath. So we're guessing that the Powerpuff Girls V Teen Titans crossover will be somewhat lighter in tone than Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Good to know.
If you're a fan of either show, make sure you don't miss the epic team up between the Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans when it airs in June this year on Cartoon Network.
