*WARNING: Spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6 ahead. Read on at your own risk*
Last week's episode of Game of Thrones was thrilling, with new storylines converging and an awesome glance of the Mad King in Bran's vision. Not only that, but we also got to see the return of fan favorite characters like Benjen Stark. This not only saved Bran from the White Walkers, but gave us an explanation as to why he was saving them. And most intriguing, Benjen didn't return, deciding to stay beyond the wall.
But a new theory suggests that Benjen may not be the only Stark returning in a different form. If the show stays in line with the books, Catelyn Stark may also be returning as her zombified counterpart, Lady Stoneheart.
Lady Stoneheart's return could be tied to everything that's happening back in King's Landing. Fans will remember that the show has set up a reunion of beloved character Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Bronn and Podrick Payne. In the books, the reunion of Brienne and Jaime is the same instance when Brienne meets with Lady Stoneheart - who isn't very pleased about what she sees.
Stoneheart sees Brienne and Jaime and thinks that Brienne, who was at her service before her death, is a traitor that works for the Lannisters. Brienne tries to tell her about her newfound loyalty to Sansa Stark, but she doesn't believe her. For her to prove that she is still loyal, Lady Stoneheart orders Brienne to kill Jaime.
This would be amazing to see on the show, but it should be noted that a lot of events have been changed on the TV Show, so we might see something different. But this season has gone deeper into the high fantasy aspects of the series than ever before, and the introduction of Lady Stoneheart could be another way to show how magic has returned to Westeros.
What do you think - will HBO's adaptation show Lady Stoneheart, or will this character be left out of the show completely? Let us know in the comments.
