However, that doesn't mean the cast and crew will be getting a long summer break. They're supposed to be filming Fifty Shades Freed directly after they finish Fifty Shades Darker, in order to be ready to release the completed movies in February 2018 and 2017, respectively.
Director James Foley (House Of Cards) has taken over from Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed the original Fifty Shades Of Grey film. The reason for the switch is rumored to have something to do with creative differences between Taylor-Johnson and writer E.L. James.
