Prepare to get witch-slapped, because Leslie Jordan has confirmed that he will be back for the upcoming season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story. Appearing in the third season of the horror anthology, he has been absent for the past two outings, so welcome back Mr. Jordan.
The news was revealed when Jordan told Washington Blade about his busy filming schedule, dropping that he will be back for the untitled season six, alongside the likes of Lady Gaga and Kathy Bates:
I'm booked all summer, then on July 7, I go back to 'American Horror Story' with Lady Gaga, isn't that fun? I did one season on 'Coven.' They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. So I turned down 'Freak Show,' biggest mistake of my life. I didn't think Mr. (Ryan) Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did.
Jordan's one season cameo was as Quentin Fleming, part of the witches council in American Horror Story: Coven. Meeting a grisly end, the comedian-turned-actor's part may have been brief, but he brought his usual campy glee to the part.
Details on the new season still remain scarce, but rumours of everything from an orphanage to a boat seem to be frontrunners on where the story will head next. More interestingly, Jordan's interview seemed to (finally) give us a filming start date; take it with a pinch of salt, but he told Washington Blade that shooting for the sixth season starts on June 7 - presumably with an early October air date
Ryan Murphy confirmed that he has a 'shocking role' in mind for other returnee Angela Bassett, so now all we need is Jessica Lange to grace our screens. In the meantime, Bassett will have to do as our favourite guilty pleasure...sorry Gaga!
