With the French film commission Film France offering new tax credits to studios who develop projects in L'Hexagone, several animation studios are headed there for new projects, including Marvel Animation. Paramount, DreamWorks and Disney TV are headed there, too, but we're here to talk about Marvel.

Via Variety, 19 different projects are currently being worked on in France, and two of those include new Marvel Animation TV shorts, Ant-Man and Rocket and Groot. Directing duo Ugo Bienvenu and Kevin Manach, who have a handful of animation projects under their collective belt, will be handling Ant-Man. You can check out their sizzle reel below, but be forewarned there's some NSFW content.

Meanwhile, Arnaud Delord will be directing Rocket and Groot. His studio Fortiche Production had previously created a number of music videos, commercials and launch trailers. Comicbook.com found the launch trailer for its latest project, Wildstar. If you look closely (around the 2:33 mark), you can see some very Rocket-and-Groot-esque action unfolding.

We're not entirely sure when they'll be airing, but we can hazard a guess that where they'll be airing is the Disney XD Marvel Universe block, which currently features the Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Avengers Assemble. The video playlist on the Marvel Universe page for Disney XD shows that there have already been a number of animated shorts, so it makes sense that Ant-Man and Rocket and Groot would also be slotted in here.

Also something to ponder: Will Rocket and Groot be a spinoff of the current Guardians animated series, or its own thing? I guess we'll find out when they air.
