Bobby Brown has come forward with some shocking claims that he saw his former wife, the late Whitney Houston, ingesting cocaine on their wedding day. The controversial singer also insists this is the first time he saw Houston take drugs.
In a tell-all interview (to promote a new book, surprise surprise) Brown claims that he decided to break with tradition and go to see his bride before the wedding day, but was "shocked" to find Whitney "hunched over a bureau snorting a line of coke."
While I'm sure most people who abstain from illegal drugs would be pretty horrified to see their bride hoovering down white powder on their wedding day, Brown accepted Whitney's explanation that she was indulging because she was "nervous" and continue with the ceremony. He was also sure to mention that he did not take any of the drug himself.
These bold claims directly refute previous allegations that it was Brown who led Houston into drug use, the R&B singer elaborated further when he told interviewers:
"It wasn't me who started her I take my part and I take it hard for me even being a part of it, but we all have our own minds and some of us are stronger than others."
Who knows if Bobby is telling the truth, but it's worth baring in mind that Whitney and most of her immediate family are no longer here to tell their half of the story.
However Whitney ended up battling the addiction that eventually ended her life, it's all just so, so sad.
