With The Walking Dead on hiatus until October, Norman Reedus has been keeping himself busy with new projects, including his upcoming series on AMC Ride With Norman Reedus.
The new six-part series will follow Reedus as he takes to the open road on his bike, taking audiences on a journey looking into biker culture and history in various cities across the country. Each episode will also include a guest who is also a fellow motorcycle enthusiast, including fellow actors, musicians and more.
However, it was during an interview about the new series, Reedus was also asked if there was another, more hero-based project he would interested in working on. Following the rumors of Marvel TV possibly including characters such as Blade, Moon Knight, and Ghost Rider in the Defenders universe on Netflix, Uproxx asked the Walking Dead actor if he would be willing to audition for Ghost Rider if Marvel asked. He replied:
"Hell yeah. It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down."
Hell yeah, indeed!
Obviously at this stage it's purely rumors that Ghost Rider will appear in a Marvel TV series, but let's face it, if it went ahead Norman Reedus would be a great choice. Reedus already has a love of motorbikes, he's no stranger to comic book adaptions, having starred in The Walking Dead, and he's also dabbled in the world of superheroes before, appearing in Blade II and voicing The Punisher in Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.
Not to mention that, thanks to this scene, we know he'd be a dab hand with Ghost Rider's Hellfire Chain:
With former Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal (Shane Walsh) already jumping on the Marvel TV bandwagon as The Punisher, perhaps it's only a matter of time before another Walking Dead star follows suit, what do you think?
Ride With Norman Reedus premieres on AMC on June 12.
