Who should sit on the Iron Throne? In the Game of Thrones, you either win or die, but there are many characters who haven't done either — yet. EW asked some of the male cast of Game of Thrones who they think would be the best King of Westeros, able to sit on the Iron Throne and rule the land justly.

For the record, I have no idea why nobody voted for Jon Snow (my personal favorite for the job) who not only has the wisdom, bravery and staying power for the position, but is also (according to the big Game of Thrones theory, at least) entitled to the position by blood. Check out who the best and worst kings would be, according to the guys on Game of Thrones.

King Samwell 'The Slayer' Tarley, The Nice-But-Unlikely, Eater Of Bread

Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth):

''It’s never going to happen, but Samwell Tarly would be a lovely, great king, like Solomon. He’s educated, erudite, likes a nice bit of grub.''

Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar):

''Samwell Tarly would be a good choice. He’s not too full of himself. Or Jaqen of course.''

King Tyrion 'The Imp' Lannister, God Of Tits And Wine

Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen Baratheon):

''Tyrion would be a good king. He’d be a wicked king.''

Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark):

''Yeah, I think Tyrion would be a great king. He’d be able to shut people down with just his wit, but he’d be pretty ruthless too.''

King Theon 'The Gelded' Greyjoy, Slayer Of Children And Fearer Of Sausages

Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy):

''I think Reek would be a good king. You’re not going to get some entitled, little prick who’s going to be his son and heir. He’s going to choose someone who’s going to do the job well. Reek would choose probably Arya or Bran, one of those two.''

King Ramsay 'The Bastard' Bolton, Skinner Of Enemies, Gelder Of Men

Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth) :

''Ramsay would be a disastrous king''

Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar):

''The Boltons would probably be bad; Ramsay would probably not be a good choice. So saying [Ramsay would be a disastrous king], he’d probably end up on the Iron Throne.''

Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton):

''Ramsay would be the worst king. Ramsay should not be allowed to be king.''

Michael McElhatton (Roose Bolton):

''Ramsay, definitely.''

King Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish, Purveyor Of Perversions

Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark):

''I reckon someone like Petyr Baelish would be the worst king because he’d be too focused on trying to control everything that he wouldn’t actually rule. He’d be too intent on getting all the whispers. He would be trying to play the king, but he is the king.''

Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth) :

''It’s got to be the Night King. He would be the worst, wouldn’t he? Of our beloved characters... Littlefinger would worry me as well.''

King Hodor 'Wyllis' Hodor, Holder Of Doors

Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark):

''I think [Hodor would] probably be the worst king, I hate to say it.''

Fair enough, Bran, Hodor would be a fairly dreadful king. He's loyal and strong, but his rousing public speeches wouldn't be up too much, would they...

Just so you know, EW did previously ask the ladies of the Game of Thrones cast who would be the best queen — surprisingly enough, Emilia "Dany" Clark voted Arya! — and it was Lena "Cersei" Headey who had the funniest answer:

''Probably me, but I think she might murder most of the population.''

Who do you think should — and who WILL — sit on the Iron Throne?
