Director James Mangold's upcoming Wolverine 3 will once again feature a team-up between Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier. And now we know what they'll look like on the big screen.
A series of photos acquired by Just Jared reveal our first look at Jackman and Stewart together during production of Wolverine 3, providing a glimpse at the mutant-filled action we'll see in the film.
The actors were reportedly filming a scene that found Wolverine and Professor X rushing out of a casino and into a nearby truck. They were joined by a young actress, though at this time we don't know who she is or what character she could be playing.
Both Jackman and Stewart appear older in these photos than they have in previous X-Men outings, which supports rumors suggesting the upcoming film is at least partially based on the Old Man Logan comic book storyline. The comics took place in an alternate future of the Marvel Universe and followed an aging Wolverine on a cross-country adventure. We already suspected that a big screen adaptation would find some major changes to the story, which could explain the inclusion of this unidentified child actress. Fans know that Professor X is always eager to mentor and train young mutants, and there's a chance that she may be one of his new students.
Wolverine 3 is currently set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017. What do you think of these set photos? What character could that child actress be playing? Let us know in the comments. And for more photos from the set, be sure to visit Just Jared.
