With filming for Transformers: The Last Knight well underway, it seems that information regarding the next installment is dropping into our laps on the daily.
So far, we've learned quite a lot about what's in store for fans of Michael Bay's epic blockbuster. In June alone, we've gathered a glimpse of the set in Cuba and Bumblebee's incredible new vehicle form in the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, among numerous other essential behind-the-scenes details regarding characterization and production.
Now, another car has been revealed and it bears almost exactly the same resemblance to a certain villain at the center of The Dark Knight storyline. Actor Josh Duhamel took to Twitter, dropping the bombshell that Barricade (who appeared to have been killed off in the 2011 installment) is set to return to the fifth movie as this updated Ford Mustang Saleen cop car:
Exactly how the Decepticon is making a return is unclear, but it's safe to assume that the threat is real — after all, the deadly vehicle still has the promise "to punish and enslave" on the back, instead of the standard law enforcement pledge "to serve and protect."
Additionally, although official changes to the new model haven't been confirmed, fans will be able to recognize the massive hood scoops, bullbars and enhanced rear quarter panels. Also, the spoiler on the back of Barricade's ride has been adapted to be a bit more prominent. Without a doubt, updates would have also been made to his weapons.
