On Saturday, Zayn Malik was forced to pull out of his greatly-anticipated performance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley in London. Ahead of his first solo appearance on stage in the UK, the 23-year-old cited that he was suffering from "the worst anxiety of my career."
His full statement, which he courageously posted on his Instagram account, read:
Despite his honesty, fans at the Summertime Ball were far from pleased about Malik's cancelled performance. Now though, on-and-off girlfriend Gigi Hadid has shared an outburst of support for the ex-One Directioner after their supposed reconciliation and it's one of the sweetest thing you'll ever read.
In a response tweet to Malik, the supermodel posted the following:
"Z - I've seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans. Your bravery in those times makes me proud, but your honesty last night proved what you're all about, being real. Human recognizes human. You made the best of the situation and have given your fans an opportunity to understand you better as a performer."
"Those who can find compassion now are the ones that deserve to watch you continue to grow. We are all here to support you and make each experience easier. Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong. Love you and so proud of you always :) xG."
Since, the PILLOWTALK star has tweeted how grateful he was for all of the support and understanding from his fans, saying:
Zayn, we hope you feel better soon pal!
