Now that we've ventured into summer territory, the excitement for San Diego Comic-Con has already started. In addition to all of the panels, exclusive merchandise, announcements and sneak peeks at highly anticipated projects, the creative minds behind Star Trek want to launch the experience of one lucky fan into the stratosphere.

In partnership with Omaze, Star Trek star Zachary Quinto has invited Trekkies to enter a competition for the opportunity to attend the Star Trek Beyond world premiere at SDCC in July.

Following in the footsteps of last year's To Boldly Go campaign, this year funds will be in support of The Mission Continues, a nonprofit that "empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact."

Check out the video featuring Quinto below to find out how you can donate and enter for your chance to win the grand premiere prize:

"One lucky Omaze winner gets to join us for the entire evening: the premiere, the red carpet, the after party, we get to hang out, we get to take pictures, we get to talk Trek, and you get to be the envy of 130,000 crazy Comic-Con fans. Actually, that sounds terrifying."

To enter the competition and learn more about the cause The Mission Continues, be sure to visit the Omaze website.

Star Trek Beyond will be released to the general non-contest-winning public on July 22.

Which cast member of Star Trek would you geek out with the most if you met them in real life?
